Description

We’re Breaking Barriers so every refugee can access meaningful employment and build a new life.

We welcome refugees into meaningful employment with advice, experience and education.
We believe in the power of responsible business to change society for the better through our innovative partnerships.

Employment Foundation is a structured program where volunteers help clients build a strong base of employment and job-related knowledge, so they can go into the job market with confidence and increased independence.

The courses focus on everything from how to build up a CV, search and apply to jobs online, to how to utilise LinkedIn. Do not worry if you do not have experience in all of these as you will receive training and support where wanted.

Volunteers and clients work one-on-one to complete our employment foundations course using the provided handbooks.

Each sessions lasts between 45-90 minutes, and is usually run weekly or biweekly depending on your availability.

Please go to our website for more details on our charity: www.breaking-barriers.co.uk/

If you're interested, please click the ‘apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org.
