Volunteer Task Description and Person Specification
Pain Concern is a UK based charity for those living with chronic pain, and those who care for and about them.

Purpose of Volunteer Role
The volunteer will be responsible for reviewing Pain Concern’s information including leaflets, Pain Matters magazine and Airing Pain radio programmes.

Task Description
• Read information leaflets
• Listen to audio files
• Give feedback to us by filling out an easy form

Skills and Personal Qualities
• Be flexible (E)
• Good communication skills (E)
• Proficient using Google Forms and/or Microsoft Word (E)
• Critical thinking (E)
• An interest in chronic pain (E)
E/D = Essential or Desirable

Availability and location
•Remote location. Desired minimum commitment of 3 months.
• This role does not require a regular time commitment, but responding to requests for feedback
as and when it is required.

Support, supervision and training
The Listener & Reader Panel Team Leader will provide any guidance required on an ad-hoc basis.

Pain Concern is a charity working to support and inform people with pain and those who care for them, whether family, friends or healthcare professionals. We believe that pain is best faced together by the ‘Pain Community’ of people with pain, their family, supporters and healthcare professionals. This ideal is reflected in the make-up of the Pain Concern team.

Student Ambassador Volunteer

You can help by representing and raising awareness of Fertility Network Scotland charity in places of education and in the local area to highlight the services and support we provide. This can include: *Promoting the charity by displaying posters and leaflets *Highlight our campaigns and projects to fellow students and lecturers etc including through social media *Assist Fertility Network Scotland staff at events such as Freshers Week This benefits of this opportunity include:- *Meeting and working with new people, learning new skills which would benefit future applications to further education or employment while having fun, gain experience of event participation, fundraising and charity sector in general, knowledge that your support will help people in Scotland experiencing fertility problems. CPR Champion - West Lothian

As a CPR Champion you will support St John Scotland as part of their partnership with Save a Life for Scotland. You will get the opportunity to attend various events within your local area with other St John Scotland CPR Champions and CPR Leads ensuring that participants are equipped to undertake potentially lifesaving bystander CPR according to current policies, regulations and protocol. You will also be trained on demonstrating defibrillator usage to participants. Main tasks: - Deliver Bystander CPR awareness to various people at different events within your local area - Defibrillator Demonstration (training is provided)
