Description

The Ayrshire Rivers Trust is made up of a team of dedicated Ayrshire based biologists, ecologists and environmental managers working to improve our rivers and lochs.

This opportunity:
Ayrshire Rivers Trust are going to be planting around 2,000 trees anytime from mid January until the end of February and is weather dependent.

It is for a Nature Scot project on the Water of Girvan where it runs between Crosshill and Dailly and builds upon stabilisation work completed by Ayrshire Rivers Trust in 2016/17 that has dramatically reduced land loss and sediment inputs in to the middle reaches of the Water of Girvan.

This current project is to create riparian corridor buffer zones using a variety of green ecological nature-based methods in conjunction with fencing to manage livestock overgrazing.
