Baby Bank Volunteer

Description

Our Granton-based Baby Bank needs your help to sort donations and create vital baby packs for vulnerable families across Edinburgh and the Lothians. We recycle everyone's preloved baby clothes and equipment to provide bespoke baby packs for vulunerable families referred to us by health professionals across the city.
We need more help to process and sort the donations and make up baby packs, as the number of referrals we are getting is increasing all the time. We can only process more donations if we have more hands on deck. We’re a very friendly bunch and would so love to hear from you!

Organisation aims and objectives

Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland) has been supporting families in Edinburgh and the Lothians for over 40 years. We are Edinburgh’s only baby bank service, regularly supporting over 400 families, and we also run a free, professional counselling service. We want to help people flourish and become their best selves by working with integrity, empowering our clients and being an active member of our community.

Frequency and commitment details

We are keen on regular volunteering eg weekly, but we are equally happy for you to come more or less than this as well.

Lothian Buses: 24, 38, 47, 113, X37 and X47 all stop outside the building while buses 8, 14, 16, X29, N16 and Skylink 200 all stop on West Granton Road which is only a 6 minute walk from the building
