We are looking for volunteers to support digital groups that take place across communities in Edinburgh and East Lothian, providing advice to people who are looking to improve their digital skills.
From offering basic support with turning on or using a device, to focused help in areas like how to keep in touch with friends and family online; how to save money online; or help with CV writing, job searches and applying for jobs online.
You will be encouraging the person to learn at their own pace to build their confidence, provide a consistent level of customer service and support our staff in obtaining monitoring and evaluation data.
People Know How is Scottish social innovation charity founded in 2013 on the principle that people know how to identify their needs and the solutions that will help them fulfil their potential and solve social issues. People often don't realise that they know how, and that's where we come in - unlocking ideas for a better future, today. We call this social innovation. Our core services are Positive Transitions, supporting children, young people and families; and Reconnect, supporting adults and families to improve wellbeing through digital and social inclusion. We are also passionate about cross-sectoral collaboration and regularly hold events, initiate research and collate resources as part of our Connect Four initiative. We also provide a range of volunteering opportunities tailored to your personal interests.
