Lochlan’s Legacy is a charity which raises awareness and understanding of type 1 diabetes, reducing stigma, breaking down barriers, promoting youth voice and building a strong community. Lochlan’s Legacy is led by our founder, Lochlan Murdoch BCyA, who is fourteen years old. The charity has been working since 2020 and our work includes raising awareness of Type 1 diabetes in sport, and setting up our youth group 'T1D and ME - Giving Youth a Voice'. Come and be part of something incredible, driven by our iWill Ambassador Lochlan. We are currently looking for Event/Event Planning Volunteers to help plan and run our fundraising events. This could be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain some experience in events management.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) encourages and supports people aged 50+ to volunteer in their local communities. Across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire we run 5 projects involving hundreds of volunteers. These include volunteering activities within local hospitals and primary schools, charitable knitting groups, a walking group for older people, and a community Handyperson Service. We are looking for new Volunteer Leaders who can help ensure that our groups and activities run smoothly. For example, as a Schools Volunteer Leader you will help us to recruit new volunteers, and making sure that existing volunteers are supported and enjoying their volunteering experience. We currently have vacancies for school leaders in Stirling, Falkirk and in Clackmannanshire. Instead, if you would prefer to become a Handyperson Leader, you will help to ensure that tasks needed by older people are "assigned" to an appropriate volunteer, and that all volunteers are supported. We currently have a vacancy for a Handyperson Leader in Stirling and Clackmannanshire. Or perhaps you have a new idea for an activity or group, that older people could take part in? We'd love to help you set up a group and can provide all ongoing support! The volunteering hours are fully flexible and we will be able to work around your availability. Week by week, our volunteers inspire and provide #SkillsForLife for young people aged 4-25. We support Scouting in the Borders, Braid, Craigalmond, East Lothian, Edinburgh North East, Midlothian and Pentland areas Our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts learn new skills, make new friends and stand on their own two feet. They’re supported by our everyday heroes - adult volunteers who shape young people’s lives for the better and find out a whole lot about themselves in the process, too. You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. You don’t need to have been a Scout when you were younger. You don’t even need to know how to put up a tent. Our door is open to people of all ages, genders, races, and backgrounds, and we’re only able to change lives because people like you lend a hand. We’re talking about tea makers, tidy-uppers, and skill sharers. We’re talking about minibus drivers and first aiders. We’re talking about students who want to boost their CV, and parents who volunteer so they can spend more time together as a family. Whatever your skillset, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you’ll get more out than you put in. Because whether you’re helping a leader to run an activity in the local town hall, organising a night away, or buttering 120 slices of bread a group of very hungry eleven-year olds - no two Scout meetings are the same. The difference you make, though, is always great. We provide the training. You show up, get stuck in, and make memories for life. As long as you're over 18, you can help out as an adult volunteer in Scouting. Don’t fancy working directly with young people? We also have roles in governance, administration, planning, social media and much more! Get in touch with your local group and offer your skills/time. Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. To help with this we have great opportunities and need people to help out as volunteers for a range of roles including: *Food growing, gardeners, greenspace management, tidy ups volunteers. *Mentors, community engagement, events, entertainers (kids, adults, 55+). *Outdoors games & sports volunteers, building outdoor areas for residents (sheltered housing seating), health. *Artists/ Sculptors to begin on our Street Art & Design projects, and sculptures. *Admin, coordinators, team lead volunteers, advisors & support volunteers. *Drop-in café helpers, advisors, cooking assistants.
