Organisation aims and objectives

To participate in partnerships with the Al-Amal Project, Aberdeenshire Refugee Resettlement Team, Aberdeenshire Refugee and Asylum Strategic Group (and others as may be deemed appropriate by the Friends) to support the vision of a welcoming Scotland where people seeking protection from persecution and human rights abuses are able to settle and rebuild their lives in the North-East. This will be achieved by: • supporting the capacity of New Scots living in Aberdeenshire to achieve their purposes as expressed through the Al-Amal Project • providing a voice for volunteers who are working towards refugee integration • assisting partners to make the best use of resources and expertise to achieve our purposes
