Methilhill Community Children's Initiative is a community led group dedicated to providing local children and P young people with opportunities to play, learn and grow. Based within the Methilhill Community Learning Garden, they operate a programme of activities including garden-based activities, local youth clubs and outreach sessions to schools and organisations. They have been running for 10 years, and were founded by local parents and community members who wanted to provide local children with community based experiences. Community spirit together with meaningful learning is at the heart of everything they do. Volunteering opportunities exist within pre-school groups Nature Tots – Monday & Friday 9-11.30am, Nature Nursery – Tuesday &Thursday 8.45-11.45am & 11.45-2.45pm You can come along to some/all of the time and one or all of these groups to gain skills and experience of working with under 5s. They also have groups for Primary 1-7 young people, see separate details of their Outdoor Adventurers and Youth club. MCCI offer a friendly atmosphere and supportive team. All groups are based outdoors. References will be requested for this role. To assist in the running of our children's group which is for children from primary one to primary six. We play games sing song and do crafts.

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as volunteer helpers or leaders for one hour on Monday evenings during term time. As a rainbow helper/leader you'll have the opportunity to mentor young girls as they embark on their journey of growth and self discovery. You'll help them develop valuable life skills, build friendships, and create lasting memories. It also offers you an opportunity for personal growth and leadership development.

The Kincorth Community Centre Hub has great volunteer opportunities to assist with a range of activities at the Hub. Volunteer roles include supporting our busy community cafe, which has rapidly taken off, we currently open 9.30 -2.30, but our aim is to run a breakfast and supper club, as well as have the cafe open for activities in the evening. We have a diverse community that has a lot to offer e.g.: art classes/exercise group/dance class/music lessons and we are always open to new ideas-we are more or less a blank canvass. Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. Level 2 Hygiene Certificate will be offered to those who want to volunteer/cook in the café. Any other training would be reviewed and provided if proved relevant. A fantastic, enjoyable opportunity to volunteer and help make a real difference for people and the community.
