Volunteer Buddy

  • VO69307

Description

During Covid-19 Pandemic we are following Scottish Government guidelines and all support will be provided using a blended model of socially distanced meeting outdoors and/or virtually over Zoom or telephone, depending upon the current level of restrictions

Do you have some spare time, maybe a couple of hours a week, and you would like to make a huge difference in your community? We might be able to help!

We are looking for volunteer buddies to give parents who are struggling a bit, some extra support. Just an ear to listen, someone to go for a walk or coffee with or to help with appointments, telephone calls or form filling. It’s not always the big things that make a difference but the little things. Not only does volunteering help others but it gives you different experiences in life, builds confidence and allows you to share some of your experience to help others move forward.

Organisation aims and objectives

We support and empower lone parent, vulnerable and disadvantaged families through early intervention and partnership working. We facilitate positive change by being accessible, inclusive and flexible in our approach.
