The Community Ambassador Programme associated with the AHEP offers full training and a volunteer work placement to unemployed and unoccupied people who live in our neighbouring communities, especially in Torry.
The Community Ambassadors will be part of the Community Engagement Team and will volunteer at the project Visitor Centre, supporting the delivery of the visits from schools and professional and community-based groups, as well as talks and meetings.
We will work to ensure that this training and placement gives you a high value for your time, enhancing your employability and supporting you in your job-seeking process, during and after the placement.

*Introduction to Dragados UK and the project.
*Presentation from the Dragados UK Engineering Manager on the construction programme and process.
*Health and Safety Induction by Dragados UK H&S team.
*Environmental Presentation by Dragados UK Environmental team.
*Presentation from Aberdeen Harbour Board on the aims and objectives of AHEP.
*Community Engagement and Communications Induction on processes and protocols needed during the placement.
*Visitor Centre Induction by Dragados UK Community Engagement team, with a detailed description of operations and exhibition materials.
*Talk from the Maritime Museum staff and tour of the Museum.
*A Harbour Tour on an Aberdeen Harbour Board boat.

Experience required: We are open to receive anyone who is unemployed/unoccupied and looking for an opportunity to enhance her/his employability, who is positive, enthusiastic and enjoys communicating with a wide range of people.
Travel details: You will be based at the project Visitor Centre, located in Walker Park, right by the Girdleness Lighthouse, with a perfect view of Nigg Bay.
