Description

As part of the Fife Furniture Project, the driver's mate will work alongside an experienced driver who will collect donated furniture from across Fife and safely and securely store it. The volunteer will help deliver the goods as required across Fife to families and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties or who have experienced homelessness.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Fife Furniture Project exists to support people who have been homeless or are in need. Volunteers collect and deliver furniture to those in need across Fife. All donations come from the public.

Restrictions

Experience required: The organisation is looking for volunteers interested in learning new skills and gaining some valuable work experience. Friendly, approachable and physically fit.
Travel details: The opportunity takes place across Fife as required. Volunteers will be picked up from a local point to them or from the Main Street, Kingseat.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Taster available: Yes
Taster details: A Taster will be provided followed by trial period.
Training details: The volunteer will be assisted by an experienced volunteer.
