We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Description

We are looking for friendly, approachable people who are happy to engage with our elderly members, to chat and play/facilitate games and conversation.
Setting up of tables in the morning is needed, and both sessions require snacks and/or lunch to be served.
We cater for people who would otherwise not be able to get out to meet folk and are not a dementia organisation.
Our members are a lively bunch, very engaged in whatever is going on. They come along to socialise with friends old and new, enjoy a good lunch and entertainment every Thursday.
We operate a rota system for duties, which are either morning (0930 – 1230) or afternoon (12.30 – 1530).
Availability is requested before the rota is made up, and it is up to volunteers how often they wish to help.
