Description

We require volunteer van assistants to help out at our Shelter Scotland shop by providing practical support to our van drivers, this involves: Being the face of Shelter Scotland when collecting donations from people's homes; Dismantling beds, tables, etc. for easier transport and storage; Lifting heavy furniture through sometimes awkward spaces and angles; Removing and replacing furniture on the shop floor; Helping to prepare route plans for the day ahead in the most cost effective way.

Restrictions

Volunteers must be 16yrs or over.
Experience required: No experience necessary as full training is given, just a friendly manner and desire to help people.

Minimum age: 16

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Travel expenses are reimbursed if the individual is volunteering 4 hours or more per day.
Training details: Induction training is provided as well as any other relevant training deemed necessary for the role.
