Description

Volunteers based at Young Enterprise Scotland, Rouken Glen Park, where the composter is located in a waterproof cabin. Manager would empty overflow tanks once a month, ensure compost is bagged, keep place tidy, add woodchip and take pride in the compost produced.

Organisation aims and objectives

Big Green Feet (BGF) is a Community Interest Company established in 2014 to deliver community based environmental projects. The founders are local charity Directors who identified a need for a community organisation interested in the environment and which could design, secure funding for and deliver environmental projects. Previous projects include assisting the Commonwealth Games Festival 2014 recycling effort; devising and running the Giffnock Recycling Bike and Food Waste Project; sustainability management at the Lake of Stars Music Festival in Malawi; helping events at the Young Enterprise Scotland facility in Giffnock.
