If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! 1st Portlethen Scout Group is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team of volunteers as uniformed Scout Leaders, also known as Team Members. This role is designed to provide young people with valuable life skills, outdoor experiences, and fun activities. In each section, our team of volunteers: • Plan (together or individually once every 4-5 weeks) and deliver (with the team) a great programme once a week - sharing the load, respecting your time and capitalising on your skills. • Contribute to a great culture for volunteers and members. • Ensure scouts is a safe environment for everyone. • Contribute to admin getting done, such as keeping member records, sorting out kit and badges. • Keeps everyone in the loop. The Primrose Community Trust are looking for youth work volunteers (16+) to help at various sessions for young people in Crossgates in Fife. The sessions would involve setting up, taking part in the sessions, and encouraging young people to be active participants, tidying up, taking part in the evaluation at the end of sessions. The sessions will be working with the youth work team and will be on a rota basis, so will not have to volunteer every week if this is not manageable. Junior Youth club drop-in: Monday 5.45-8pm (8-12yrs) Lego Club sessions: Tuesday 3-5pm (7-12yrs) Senior Youth Club drop-in: Fridays 6-8.15 pm (12-15yrs)

Mentoring is at the heart of what we do here at ProjectScotland and we offer every young person we support, the opportunity to be matched with a volunteer mentor. We are searching for people in and around Aberdeen who are able to offer one hour of their time once a week or fortnight for up to 12 months to help transform the life of someone else. The young people we work with all face different challenges in their lives such as; mental ill health, long term unemployment, low confidence and self esteem, care experienced, limited English communication skills due to being new to this country or disabilities. As a volunteer mentor, you could support your mentee with whatever is important to them. This could be: goal setting; identifying interests and strengths; confidence building; helping to establish a routine; support to explore job, training and further education opportunities; social connections; or just someone consistent to talk to and check in with to see how they are. The support you can offer is invaluable and can be life changing. The Cub Scout Leader manages and leads the operation of the Cubs Section (8 – 10 1/2 yrs), in particular, the planning and delivery of the Balanced Programme, with the help of Assistant Section Leaders, Section Assistants and Young Leaders. The Cub Scout Leader will motivate, inspire and ensure that every young person has the opportunity to take part in fun, challenge and adventure. It’s so rewarding in so many ways. Do you have a passion for getting outside and trying new things? Could you encourage and lead young people aged 8 to 10.5 years old to discover and learn through excitement, teamwork and adventure? Working as part of a team of adult volunteers, a Cub Scout Leader assists in the planning and delivery of a safe and exciting programme of outdoor activities, community projects, games, challenges and the excitement of a few days away in a tent! Helping young people to grow, gain confidence and achieve awards is extremely rewarding but you will also gain new skills too through our award winning training scheme that covers everything from first aid to dealing with challenging behavior. Leaders need to be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic, and organised; we will teach you the rest and ensure that you get all the training, support and mentoring you need.
