Heriot's Beavers and Cubs Assistant

Description

The Heriot's Beavers and Cubs groups need help! They meet on a Friday evening between 18:30 and 20:00 at George Heriot's School. Cubs are aged 8-10 and Beavers 6-8 years old. The Assistant Leader will support the operation of the group, in particular the planning and delivery of a balanced programme with the help of the Section Leaders. They will actively support and promote the achievement of badges and awards and support the delivery of a safe, exciting and stimulating balanced programme.

Experience required: No experience or skills necessary except for an enthusiasm for working with young people; a knowledge of Scouting would be beneficial, however training and support will be provided. during the 5 months of Provisional Appointment the relevant "Getting Started" modules must be completed and a Wood Badge must be

Expenses details: No expenses paid, we do pay for uniform items, training and costs associated with the programme.
Taster available: Yes
Training details: Training is offered and is dependent on the level of role. initial training, called Getting Started, is modular and delivered online through e-learning. it can be accessed at a convenient time and place. It takes a total of between 1 to 2 hours to complete the training. A Training Advisor provides training support. In addition to training, other support is also available.
