We work closely with our residents to help people live independent, secure and fulfilling lives. Where do you fit in: Volunteer Befrienders help older people who feel isolated or unable to get out very easily on their own by giving time on a one-to-one-basis to help an older person maintain social contact, provide companionship and reduce social isolation.

Restrictions

Experience required: Ideally you should be able to demonstrate: An interest in working with older people, Good communication and listening skills, A bright and outgoing personality, An ability to use your own initiative and work unsupervised.

Expenses details: We will pay for any bus fares to our development on receipt of a ticket or agreed mileage rate for personal vehicle

Training details: Full Induction training given that will cover health and safety before volunteering commences. Non certified
