As an Intandem mentor you will make a difference to the life of a young person, providing a positive role model and supporting access to hobbies and interests. The ability to be consistent, non-judgemental, supportive, fun and understanding is key to success in this role. Full initial training will be provided along with ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes. We look for a regular commitment of around 2-3 hours per week over a minimum 12 month period. A PGV scheme record check will be required (no cost involved).

Organisation aims and objectives

To provide local children, young people, women and families with a flexible programme of appropriate activities in a safe and welcoming Christian environment, which enables their personal growth, spiritual development, and involvement in the wider community". We do this through a very full weekly programme.










2 to 3 hours per week (including your travel time) with a minimum commitment of 1 year Mentoring is generally provided during evenings & weekends during school term time (at times agreed between the mentor and young person) and ideally continues throughout school holidays.


Experience required: No formal qualifications are required but you will need the ability to show empathy, be non-judgemental. You will be able to reflect on your own life experiences and learning as well as demonstrate the motivation to see children and young people succeed in life.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Travel expenses are covered as are all pre-agreed expenses incurred when taking part in activities with the young person. Pre-purchased tickets can be provided where necessary.
Training details: We will provide comprehensive initial training via a combination of face to face and online modules, delivered over sessions. These will cover areas such as child protection, safeguarding, mentoring boundaries, health & safety and working with young people. Opportunities for further continuous personal development are also available helping you develop a range of transferrable skills.
