Description

Libertus is a South Edinburgh based charity. We are looking for enthusiastic people to help us with some of the activities & projects which we run. These range from creating bi monthly radio shows, producing films & documentaries, annual theatre productions, intergenerational projects, alternative therapies, exercise & arts and crafts. You will be working with older people, younger people and people living with special needs. Particularly interested in hearing from people with web based skills.

Organisation aims and objectives

To provide a day services for older people, frail older people and people with dementia in the South East Edinburgh area. Also provides social, recreational and educational opportunities for young adults who are effected by a disability or have special needs.

Restrictions

Experience required: Cheerful, positive, common sense, patient, understanding.
Travel details: The Libertus centre is at 20 Gracemount Drive, by the Gracemount shops. Buses 7 and 18.
Minimum age: 16

Expenses details: Travel expenses are available - volunteer can decide when to be reimbursed.
Training details: Volunteers are familiarised with the work of Libertus and provided with Health and Safety information. Ongoing training is available and encouraged.
