Youth Club Worker (for ages 6 - 21)

Volunteers are invited to get involved in our youth work programme and work in a team alongside experienced full/part time staff and volunteers. Our youth clubs offer a wide range of activities that are designed to encourage, develop and reinforce children and young people's skills and self-image in a safe and supportive environment. The youth clubs run during school term times as follows: senior Drop-In (Mon) 13-18 year olds 7pm-9pm; Junior Club (Tues) 6 - 9 year olds 5.30 – 7.30pm.

Organisation aims and objectives

To offer local children and young people, 6-21 years, a programme of play, activities and opportunities designed to encourage develop and reinforce their skills and self image in a safe and supportive environment. We prioritise work with vulnerable children and young people who are experiencing difficulties and or coming from a background of disadvantage.










3 hours per week during school term time.


Experience required: Volunteers must be willing and able to work in line with the ethos of the Citadel in respect of confidentiality and within policies and guidelines. All volunteers will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland/PVG check.
Travel details: Citadel Youth Centre, 175 Commercial Street, Leith. Buses that take your right to the door are 22,35,36 and 16. On street parking is available ( On Citadel Place)

Expenses details: Yes - out of pocket expenses, such as transport.
Training details: Volunteers must attend mandatory induction training before starting. There is are various training events throughout the year and access to training for volunteers.
