Cordale Housing Association is an award-winning organisation who has made a significant impact in the area through the provision of almost 500 new homes to replace the previous poor housing, which has immeasurably improved the lives of residents in the area. In addition, we are nearing competition of our community garden, have provided local job opportunities, developed housing for older people along with the provision of support to remain independent and have participated in a host of other local services which engage and benefit the local community. We have completed a transformation programme, resulting in significantly improved performance and services, and we’re now mapping a strategy for further improvements. Cordale management committee members are an essential and valued part of the organisation. The team is required to give good independent judgement and sound management of Cordale to deliver excellent outcomes for tenants and service users. This is a voluntary, unpaid position but management committee members can claim travel expenses for attending meetings. IT equipment is available for use by the management committee members if required. We also offer management committee members a training programme (both in-person and e-learning) and encourage them to develop their knowledge and leadership skills by attending various events and joining group sub-committees. Your commitment You will need to commit to attending 10 management committee meetings per year. These meetings are usually held in the early evening and can be attended in person or remotely. In addition, you will be expected to take part in annual skills development and training provided by the Association to support you in your role as a management committee member. Our Organisation supports women, children & young people who are/ or have experienced domestic abuse, we are looking for people who will be interested in supporting the organisation to develop its strategy, plan and review policies and procedures. It provides a vital service to local community groups, families and other services looking for a space to meet, celebrate, enjoy, collaborate and build a better future for the people of Falkirk. This is an ideal time to join our Management Committee and be part of a group of passionate individuals who help to manage the current activities at the Community Centre and are also seeking to develop and improve the facilities for wider community access. The Management Committee is made up of volunteers who meet bi-monthly and are responsible for the management of regular bookings for community groups, charities and short term lets or family events, children's parties and other community events. As a member of the Management Committee you will have an opportunity to provide input to decisions about the ongoing management and future development of the Community Centre. The Management Committee is run in accordance with a formal constitution and seeks to be inclusive of the opinions and views of members. The role will also involve some practical support from time to time, including helping to promote the use of the Community Centre on social media or helping to and manage specific bookings or reviewing accounts, as required. We are seeking a wide range of additional skills to compliment the existing members including individuals who have experience of Community Centres, Treasury or Facilities or Building Management or other charity experience, or someone who lives locally and is keen to make a difference.

You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing volunteer teams, and liaising with partners to ensure successful events. Responsibilities: Plan and organize community events such as meet and greets, cultural festivals, and workshops. Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup and teardown. Manage volunteer teams and delegate tasks effectively. Liaise with partners and vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
