Description

We have exciting opportunities for people to volunteer at our Donation Centre store as a Stock Room Volunteer. Working behind the scenes is as important as being on stage! Unlike standard retail outlets, our stores offer a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the retail operation. As a Stock Room Volunteer, your key role will be to make sure that quality stock is made ready to go on sale in the store and the stores in the area. Activities include: *Looking through our donations to select and sort the quality stock for the shop floor. *Sorting and organising stock in the stockroom so that the area is kept in order. *Working behind the scenes to help to price stock. *Making sure all stock is safe and in working order. All volunteers receive great training, support and make a real difference.
An opportunity to specialise in a certain department too – are you a book lover for example – maybe you could become a book specialist for us?

You can commit to as much or as little as you like – it doesn’t have to be a full day, even two hours of your time can make such a difference to the children we help in our services across Scotland!

Organisation aims and objectives

At Barnardo's we believe in children - no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. We will ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
