The role of events helper would involve helping set up for events, assisting and speaking to members of the public, helping with refreshments, promoting what the theme of the event is and helping to clear up afterwards.
The Market Place is a community space used by individuals, groups and organisations. This opportunity involves helping to organise, run and advertise any of our community groups depending on the skills you wish to share or develop. This role involves helping to plan the groups, together with staff and other volunteers, talking with members of the group about what they would like. Most groups are weekly. Facilitating a group involves welcoming everyone, making teas/coffees, ensuring everyone is joining in and sharing your skills and knowledge.
