As a MoreToLife volunteer you will coordinate and run a social group in the local area (Online during Covid-19) for people experiencing the challenges of childlessness. You will take care of all aspects of the group including:
Act as main contact for the group
Organise and maintain an email circulation list of people within the group
Organise social activities or informal gatherings - online meetings via zoom
Offer peer to peer support and friendship - Act as a Buddy
Promote the group in the local area
Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator who will connect you to people looking for support
Adhere to Fertility Network Scotland policies and procedures
Fertility Network Scotland provides advice, information and support for anyone affected by fertility issues. We work to raise awareness of the impact of fertility problems and campaign for fair provision of fertility treatment throughout Scotland.
Due to Covid-19 at present support is provided/managed online only.

Commitment and timings are flexible.
This opportunity involves peer support therefore restricted to those with knowledge/experience of fertility issues - particularly involuntary childlessness.
Experience required: Good communication and leadership skills, reliability and trustworthiness, knowledge of fertility issues (essential), motivated with IT and administrative skills, public speaking skills to address groups of people, willing to undertake training, attend events etc.
Travel details: In volunteers own area.
Minimum age: 18
