At Loretto Care, we look at the person, not the issue, focusing on individual strengths and abilities and supporting people to manage challenges they face. We encourage people to lead on the delivery of their care and achieve what they want to achieve in their life.

We deliver flexible, person-centred support to people with a wide range of abilities and needs. We work for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues, younger people and people who have experienced homelessness or addiction issues.

We work to promote a number of meaningful activities including gardening. You will work to improve the community garden and work with the Community Engagement and Activities Team to support and encourage the people we work for to get fully involved.

What you will be involved in

o Carry out practical gardening tasks such as planting, sowing seeds, ground clearance
o General gardening maintenance with the people we work for
o Gardening planning and growing vegetables with the people we work for
o Offering gardening support, advice and guidance to the people we work for
o Help people engage in larger gardening events in the garden
o Working outdoors
o Making a real difference to people’s lives
o Other work could be based on your interests, skills and abilities that we can agree with you.
