Main Contact volunteers will help to support people who are facing fertility issues in their local area by developing friendships, recruit new volunteers, reduce isolation by organising social activities and helping those who need much needed support by providing advice and peer support. This is currently being done online,

Provide advice, information and peer support to local volunteers who wish to join the volunteer network
Help to recruit more volunteers in the local area
Main point of contact for support and local issues and pass to Volunteer Co-ordinator or Head Office as necessary
Promote Fertility Network Scotland services and campaigns to people in local community by distributing leaflets etc
Attend events to promote and/or fundraise for Fertility Network Scotland
Help organise and support our events in the local area

Organisation aims and objectives

Fertility Network Scotland provides advice, information and support to anyone affected by fertility issues. We raise awareness of the impact of fertility problems and campaign for fair provision of fertility treatment throughout Scotland. By volunteering you can help those who need support.











This opportunity involves peer support therefore restricted to those with experience of fertility issues
Experience required: Good communication and leadership skills, reliability and trustworthiness, knowledge of fertility issues (essential), motivated with IT and administrative skills, public speaking skills to address groups of people, willing to undertake training, attend events etc
Travel details: In volunteers own area
Minimum age: 18


Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Public transport costs reimbursed on production of tickets purchased. Mileage paid at 45p/mile.
Training details: Informal chat. Home based training. Ongoing support with Volunteer Co-ordinator
