Description

MS Society are looking for a Group Co-ordinator - previously Chairperson. This role will involve co-ordinating the activities of the local group to meet the needs of the local MS Community.

You will develop an annual business plan and budget; coordinate the recruitment of new volunteers, oversee the group's compliance with MS Society regulations; represent the MS Society locally; ensure good communications with volunteers and staff; and oversee the finances of the group.

Organisation aims and objectives

We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers. 68% of all our activity is delivered through voluntary contribution. Join us. 13,000 people affected by MS accessed information, support and services delivered by volunteers through our network of local groups in 2015. Our local networks organiser roles are vital to ensuring this support is available to MS communities throughout the UK.

Restrictions

Experience required: Should have good IT skills, be able to motivate and communicate with different audiences, and to represent the views of people affected by MS. Good leadership skills.
Minimum age: 21
