Description

The ACF is one of the country’s largest voluntary youth organisations. If you can give up one or two evenings a week and want to do something different with your free time, this could be exactly what you are looking for. You do not need a military background and we will provide all the training you require.
For most people taking part in volunteering projects is about 'giving something back', socialising and making new friends, or getting to know the local community. Others enjoy finding a worthwhile hobby that gives them quality time away from work or a busy lifestyle, or knowing they are making a difference to the lives of young people.
But as any one of our thousands of adults will tell you, it is watching the cadets grow and develop, and knowing that you have helped them along the way, which is the most rewarding part of being in the ACF.

Organisation aims and objectives

Combining military and community activities enables us to offer our 45,000 young people a unique blend of personal development opportunities, all designed to promote fun and friendship while also helping them prepare for success in their chosen path in life, whatever that might turn out to be.
