Group Assistant

Main activities & responsibilities
• Assist with various group activities e.g. this may require working one to one with clients who need assistance to participate in activities.
• Guide clients safely through the building e.g. to activity rooms and toilet facilities (personal care is not to be provided).
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment for all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff.
• To pass clients’ queries and concerns concerning their visual impairment to their VisionPK fieldworker or the Volunteer Services manager.
• To contribute ideas for the development/improvement of client activities.

The society exists to enhance the quality of life of, promote the continuing independence of and to raise the awareness of the needs of visually impaired people of all ages living in Perth and Kinross.
