Furniture Plus are looking for volunteers to assist customers with food service, operating the till and preparing food orders. Volunteers will work with others in a team of staff and other volunteers.
Being part of the team at Furniture Plus, we are very flexible and very rewarding. Lunch is provided at our cafe and all travel expenses are paid. There is also a monthly draw for a food hamper for all staff, placements and volunteers.

Organisation aims and objectives

Furniture Plus is the largest re-use and recycling organisation in Fife. We assist in reducing furniture poverty and reduce social exclusion through work-based placement volunteering and employability.










Minimum 4 hours per day with a minimum commitment of 8 weeks.


Experience required: Furniture Plus are happy to receive volunteers who are willing and keen to learn new skills, whilst growing confidence, meeting new people, have fun and feeling part of your local community.
Travel details: The opportunity takes place at our Dysart showroom, 7-21 Alexander St, Dysart, Kirkcaldy KY1 2XX
Minimum age: 17


Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Travel expenses are paid at 10p per mile for walking, 24p per mile for a motorbike, 45p per mile for driving and full payment for bus tickets.
Training details: Our warehouse supervisor carries out a full induction (Health & Safety). Each volunteer would be partnered up with a fully experienced member of staff.
