Description

COVEY Befriending; Pathways to Confidence is an innovative partnership project between COVEY Befriending and Bellshill & Mossend YMCA. The focus of the project is on mentoring and befriending through supporting the whole family; to ensure positive longer term outcomes.

With our values of passion; openness; respect; innovation and commitment we are looking for mentors to be a role model to our families. The overall aim is to provide help and guidance directly to parent/carers to improve overall outcomes for them and their family unit.

Volunteers should have a genuine interest and commitment towards children and young people and family members experiencing difficulty in their lives.

Organisation aims and objectives

We recruit and train volunteer befrienders for vulnerable young people. All are experiencing some difficulty in their lives such as health, problems in the home, isolation in the community, addictions and offending behaviour, disability or bereavement.
