Our ethos is based on 'pay it forward' exchanging the arts for positive and encouraging feedback from our team of art enthused volunteers and encouraging our members also to create a ripple effect. The arts is an area where we are all free to express ourselves , be liberated in a way that we can't in our usual regimented , institutionalised world. It's a place where we don't have to colour within the lines, but we can go over the edges and...well...who knows where that might lead.... We see the arts as emancipation and an area where we can all be unified by transmitting and sharing expression, unified by love, the arts and expression. We know that expressing ourselves through Creativity makes us all feel great and empowered! Fledgling Arts Collective Central believe that there are no 'amateurs' in the Arts & Creativity- WE ARE ALL ARTISTS ; and that the feel good ethos we encourage can really help with issues like building self esteem and helping to lift depression for instance. We are currently recruiting new online support volunteers to support our vital work. Your role will include interacting with online members giving feedback on the creative arts posts they leave in a positive constructive way. We are looking for volunteers who have strong IT skills and have experience using online platforms such as Teams and Zoom. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for those looking to volunteer remotely, have the chance to access opportunities and gain more third sector experience. Who Cares? Scotland Education and Engagement team are looking for a Virtual Education and Engagement volunteer to assist in the delivery of online sessions, discussing and reflecting on Corporate Parenting practice in relation to people with Care Experience. The role will involve providing technical support and supporting the delivery team where necessary. This is an exciting and newly developed role which gives practical experience within the Third Sector, providing training to Corporate Parents on care experience, and would allow for personal development for a suitable candidate. This position is almost exclusively online, therefore, open to anyone with the ability to work remotely and possesses IT skills. Who Cares? Scotland is a people organisation. We aim to recruit people with excellent qualities from a wide variety of backgrounds who share in our mission. We particularly welcome applications from individuals with care experience. What will I be doing? •Assisting in the delivery of online sessions to Corporate Parents, ensuring technical and minor issues are dealt with in real time. •Helping to monitor and moderate chat. •Answering questions in the forum chat. •Dealing with any technical issues as they arise – i.e. advising people to turn off microphones, facilitating breakout rooms, admitting late attendees to the session etc. What qualities do I need? •Ability to separate personal experiences from collective voice. •Good emotional resilience, emotional regulation, and good self-awareness. •Reliability to attend pre-agreed sessions. •Ability to remain calm when managing issues within a session. •Ability to think outside the box. •Reliability and a commitment to treat all information in a confidential manner •Basic knowledge of care experience although extensive training is provided. When will I be needed? •Flexible (schedule given in advance and at least few weeks’ notice). •Additional planning meetings, again plenty of notice will be given. Location Any – this position can be exclusively remote. What support will I be given? •Volunteer Induction and extensive training •Role specific training & ongoing development opportunities •Expenses –all out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed •Supervision and support from your group lead and volunteer coordinator
