Description

Responding effectively to all in person enquiries made at the front door and reception desk, including welcoming our clients/visitors; signposting to other services; promoting Healthy & Happy activities and services and directing visitors to their booked room. Responding effectively to all telephone enquiries, taking messages or giving information as appropriate. ensuring rooms are tidy, setting up/clearing rooms, completing volunteer logs (using sign-in sheets), refilling teas/coffee/milk, paper towels, toilet tissues, etc. ensuring signage in place when events are on in specific floors/rooms. Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with equal opportunities and health and safety policies, checking emails or other activities as agreed.

Healthy n Happy is a community development trust and our key purpose is to provide community members in Cambuslang and Rutherglen with the opportunity to take an active part in improving their lives and in ensuring their own, their family, and their community’s current and future health and wellbeing.

Restrictions

Volunteers must be 16yrs or over. Volunteers must be from the Rutherglen & Cambuslang area.
Experience required: A friendly, helpful and enthusiastic manner and great interpersonal skills; enjoys working with people and really wants to exceed our customers' expectations; reliability and the ability to work as part of a team or on their own; have a flexible approach to work and good time management; have basic I.T skills and be able to perform data entry tasks; have good communication skills; able to answer the telephone and give information on the phone or meeting people at the door face to face.

Support

Expenses details: NO travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training details: Individual will be provided with relevant training in accordance to their role as well as induction and on-going support.
