Citizens Advice Scotland is made up of 61 member bureaux, and a consumer helpline together from Scotland’s largest independent advice network.

They help more than 300,000 people solve their problems each year in communities everywhere from city centres to the Highlands and Islands. They look at the problems people bring to our advice services and campaign for change where it’s needed most. They work for a fairer Scotland where people are empowered and their rights respected.

Clackmannanshire CAB are currently looking for volunteers to assist with their busy reception. Ideally, they are looking for someone who can dedicate at least a full day a week to the role. Duties include such tasks as:

• Provide an effective reception service – welcoming and greeting visitors, answering telephone and email enquiries.

• Follow processes and procedures for triage, booking appointments and handling drop-ins.

• Provide admin backup as necessary.

• Maintain and update local information resources.

• Maintain leaflet stocks – ensuring that current information is available to the public.

• Filing, and dealing with all incoming and outgoing mail.

To carry out this role, they are looking for someone who is comfortable with people of all backgrounds, who is organised, can be assertive, and able to work with little supervision, has basic computer skills, a good telephone manner, and patience.
