  • VO64882

Description

This role can include planned visits, such as staff/patients, schools, corporate team challenges, community groups, or simply groups and individuals wishing to find out more about what we offer. The role involves showing people around the gardens, telling them about the history of the project, our aims, and typical daily activities, as well as handing out publicity. Another key task is asking visitors to sign the visitor book, and ask them for any feedback on their visit to the garden, preferably written down, as well as taking photos etc. where appropriate.
Knowledge and experience of horticulture is an advantage, but training can be provided in this and other areas such as awareness of the different needs of patients and other people with support needs, such as mental ill health, learning disability, dementia etc, as well as supervision from the Gardens Coordinator.
