Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau is the best known advice service in Stirlingshire, helping those in distress.
We are a volunteer-led organisation, with over 70 well-trained volunteers and 20 paid staff. We provide free, impartial and confidential advice to help people in need with the problems they face including debt, benefits, and relationship-breakdown, as well as employment, housing and consumer issues.
Last year we dealt with 14000 issues for 5900 clients and generated £1.3 million in additional income for Stirling residents as well as resolving £2.3 million of debt for people in reduced circumstances.
We are seeking Trustees with management experience in business, charity or health sectors. Our Trustees shape strategy and give direction to management. Trustees are expected to serve on our sub-committees and have the opportunity to support Bureau management in day-to-day activities.

Stirling CAB delivers free, confidential, impartial and independent information, advice, and support and representation services to the citizens of the area regardless of their age, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disability, gender or any other social factor. Information, advice and support are provided on a very wide range of issues, with the greatest demand relating to welfare benefits, employment, consumer debt, housing and legal issues.

Experience required: Management skills. Marketing/ fundraising desirable. Knowledge and local authority/ NHS desirable. Strategic thinker.
