Description

The aim of the organisation is to help and support people with dementia and their carers by being a national voice, improving public policies for pwd and carers, providing and securing the provision of high quality services for pwd and carers.

Organisation aims and objectives

Three times a year we organise a social evening in the area which is attended by people with dementia and their carers as well as representatives of voluntary groups and health professionals. We organise several local events such as ten pin bowling, walks and visits to a local museum/gallery. Here we can meet informally and enjoy each others company. Numbers are unrestricted. We also organise outings for people with dementia and their carers outside the Stirling area. Numbers are limited for these events as we hire a minibus and committee members are on hand to support those attending. This gives the carer confidence to enjoy being out and about with the person for whom they care.
