Description

Volunteer will take part in session playing with children, helping to set up and tidy room, ensuring a safe play environment for our children.

Organisation aims and objectives

The aim of the playgroup is to promote the aim of the Scottish Pre-School Playgroups association, which is to advance the education of pre-school children so that they may take a constructive place in the community and also the education of their parents, and in furtherance of that aim, (a) to provide safe and satisfying group play in which parents take part when appropriate; (b) to encourage other charitable activities through which parents may help the children

3 hours per week with a minimum 3 month commitment.

Restrictions

Experience required: It would be beneficial to have experience of working with children. Calm, caring person who will be enthusiastic about benefits of play for young children.
Minimum age: 16

Support

Training details: Volunteer will be offered interview with manager to discuss role/responsibilities. Volunteer will be offered opportunity to come and watch session and see routine. Volunteer will be offered support/advice from manager.
