Volunteers play an important role in helping people use the services in the medical centre and pod (including blood pressure monitoring) as well as guide people to services and activities in their local community such as volunteering or support groups.

Consult and plan with patients on the facitlities and provision of services. Improve communication between the practice and its patients. Develop self-help projects to meet the needs of fellow patients.
Volunteer must be registered patient of the practice (Academy Medical Centre, Forfar).
Experience required: Volunteer must be registered patient of the practice (Academy Medical Centre, Forfar). Also, must be able to communicate with patients ans provide patients with requested information.

Training details: Full training is given by NHS Tayside. Volunteers are required to have a Disclosure/PVG check which is organised and paid for by NHS Tayside.
