Description

We are looking for a volunteer to work with our clients to improve their literacy and numeracy skills. Our clients have a learning disability and struggle with basic literacy and numeracy; we are looking for people who can develop different approaches to learning in order to encourage them to improve their reading and improving their numeracy with basic addition and subtraction

The volunteer may be required to develop literacy programmes dependent on the level of literacy and numeracy of each of our clients, learners will require support and guidance and may need to be encouraged to fully participate in the activity. We require a volunteer who can make people feel at ease whilst assisting them with their learning, someone who can develop and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual learners
