Description

Moray Fresh Start is the only charity in Moray that supports homeless people moving into a new tenancy, by providing the household essentials that take the hopelessness out of homelessness and provide dignity and self respect. As well as being practical, these starter packs help to relieve the anxiety many new tenants have about how to obtain the basic tools for living.

This small local charity is looking for a treasurer to join its committee, who will help prepare simple monthly activity reports and undertake very basic bookkeeping tasks. Training is provided, but if you have some accounts/finance knowledge and/or experience this would prove helpful.

Moray Fresh Start plays an important role in helping to stabilise the lives of people at risk. Equally, they are also a valued gesture of community inclusion -- offering hope and support to people that may never before in their lives been given something new or something just for them. If you think you would like to help the chairty in this most practical of ways, please do get in touch.

Organisation aims and objectives

Moray Fresh Start provides packs of small household items to individuals and families who have been homeless and who are about to be re-homed in permanent accommodation. We take referrals from agencies and the council departments supporting these people.
