The Treasurer will be expected to:
Liaise with the Financial Administrator to overview existing financial procedures.
Attend monthly meeting of the Management Committee and present a detailed statement of Income and Expenditure.
Prepare budgetary information and provide cash flow projections for Management Committee.
Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for independent examination.
The Cosmos Centre supports community education and provides facilities for recreation and leisure. It is open to people of all ages in St Andrews and the surrounding area for parties; events; support groups; sports; further education; meetings and training. Spacious facilities, as well as a mini bus, are available to rent. Working with young people is a priority - the Centre has a very successful after school and holiday club. The Cosmos also offers a base and support to youth clubs in the area.

Timings are flexible and open to negotiation. Minimum commitment of 10 months.
Experience required: Skills - Good communication, numeracy and IT skills with the ability to forward-plan and prepare budget projections.
Attitudes - Positive about people, belief in public service and commitment to community learning.
Experience - Book-keeping/financial accounting, previous experience of committee work desirable but not essential.
Travel details: Cosmos Community Centre, Abbey Walk, St Andrews KY16 9LB - close to town centre with good public transport links.

Training details: The new Treasurer would receive induction and on-the-job training from the Centre's Financial Administrator and be supported by other volunteers on the management committee.
