Do you love meeting new people and helping them to have a relaxed and enjoyable time? If so, we would love to hear from you. An interest in natural history, rural living, traditions in the glens, arts and crafts, country sports, the natural world or local folklore would be a great help. Training will be provided.

Nitten Canaries is a brand new community singing group that meets in Newtongrange to sing for fun and enjoyment. Currently we have 6-7 members. We are expecting this to grow. Whilst we are starting small, we are a happy, friendly group and greatly enjoy meeting to sing. At the moment the group does not intend to perform in public, but may be open to this further into the future. The group name, 'Nitten Canaries', is reflective on Newtongrange Village's mining heritage and the shortform name by which the village is locally known. We would love to have a Musical Director who can help our group grow in confidence and ability and to have fun through singing. Your role as Musical Director will be to direct the singers be open to the group's song choices and advise on what is manageable

As a community interest company we value volunteers and their support really means a lot to us. We are looking for Delivery Drivers to assist us with delivery to our wholesale clients. You must have a full clean driving licence and be aged over 30. In exchange for your time and energy volunteering with us, we can offer the opportunity to improve employability skills and give you driving experience. We offer references after you have volunteered with us for several months.

Narture was founded in June 2020 by artist father and daughter team Robert and Saskia Singer. The project evolved initially from occupying empty town centre spaces and re-purposing them for cultural and creative uses. Nurturing a thriving and successful social enterprise, where 'everyone is an artist' and are encouraged to use their creative energies towards positive change. Narture’s ultimate goal is to become a truly inclusive creative hive, making participatory cultural activities available to all members of society. Narture’s award winning Sourdough Bakery and acclaimed Artisan Café, are currently the core income generators of the social enterprise. The bakery specialises in handmade sourdough produce, baked daily; championing sustainable, healthy ingredients and supporting local businesses and was recently awarded Bread Bakery of the Year by Prestige Scotland for the second year running. Our purpose is to bake real bread to earn the dough to support arts projects. Your Impact Matters: By volunteering with us, you're not just contributing skills; you're part of a movement driving creative regeneration. Narture CIC is currently looking for volunteer Tech Wizards to help us with website upkeep, ensuring our online presence aligns with our vibrant community. We are looking for self motivated, organised individuals preferably with relevant experience and/or skills
