Description

The volunteers have very unique opportunity to support children and young people from 5- 18 years old with additional support needs during youth clubs. The youth clubs run on a Monday, 7pm-9pm for children 12+, a Tuesday, 6.30pm-8pm for children 5-12 years old and a Thursday at Gleneagles Day Opportunities. These clubs are great fun for both the children and volunteers. We encourage volunteers to take part in all the activities and their enthusiasm and attitude impacts greatly on our children and young people. Planned activities take place each week at youth club such as baking, sports and games. We also have regular movie and pamper nights for our older children and lots of sensory and messy play for our younger children. The activities vary depending upon the time of year and any current events or celebrations. We encourage the volunteers to share their ideas and skills with us and are delighted for you to have input into the planning and running of activities. We value your talents and skills and will happily put them to good use! We are always thrilled to take on new volunteers and you will receive a vast range of training to support you in your role. We welcome all suggestions from our volunteers and value what you can bring to our organisation.
