Becoming a committee member for SHIP and Splash is a great opportunity to give something back to your local community knowing that you are helping a large number of children and families with additional support needs. We are looking for committee member to undertake a variety of tasks including fundraising applications, supporting with administrative tasks and most importantly bringing their skills and knowledge to the charity. Ideally, we would like people with experience of committee work to join us, however; we are happy to take on committee members with little or no previous commitee experience provided that you are enthusiastic and have time to give. We are looking to benefit from the wider expertise which exists in the voluntary sector. We are seeking to expand and develop our service to better meet the needs of a growing client group; we want services to be better for our young people and their families. This could prove to be a good opportunity for someone with skills and experience in management, finance or the public sector to make a real difference in the local community, and at the same time, demonstrate their abilities to potential employers.
