Description

Stirling Council has a network of 16 libraries and two mobile libraries operating throughout the council area. We offer a wide range of services from free access to books, eBooks, eMagazines, audio books, and films as well as access to computers and the internet. We also host a wide variety of events and activities including our drop in IT & ME sessions. To support this service we are currently looking to grow our volunteer team, if you have experience of IT, are excited about all things digital, and are keen to help others then this could be the role for you.
Ideally we are looking for volunteers who are keen to encourage new and existing library users to develop their skills in using digital devices. This will include helping absolute beginners to get online, or sign up to email and social media accounts. You may also support those already comfortable with using their digital devices to make the most of online resources, this could involve using recruitment sites to look for employment opportunities, or to explore new services and opportunities within the library service.
