Stock Room Volunteers

  • VO63316

Running a successful Barnardo's store requires a great team of enthusiastic volunteers and you could be part of it!

Our volunteers come from a diverse range of backgrounds and bring a wide variety of skills to the organisation. They come together to generate vital funds for Barnardo's work with children, young people and their families.

We have exciting opportunities for people to volunteer at our Castle Street store such as a Stock Room Volunteer. Working behind the scenes is as important as being on stage! Unlike standard retail outlets, our stores offer a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the retail operation. As a Stock Room Volunteer, your key role will be to make sure that quality stock is made ready to go on sale in the store. Activities include:
*Looking through our donations to select and sort the quality stock for the shop floor.
*Sorting and organising stock in the stockroom so that the area is kept in order.
*Working behind the scenes to help to hang, size, steam and price stock.
*Making sure all stock is safe and in working order.

All volunteers receive great training, support and make a real difference.

For more details you can either call into the stores individually or contact Debbie Barnham, Branch Retail Manager A3, Email: / Tel: 01343 548781.
