Description

We are looking for a volunteer to assist in taking members from and to the bus, to make tea/coffee and give to members, the majority who have poor eyesight, to make the members feel comfortable and at ease with their surroundings when they arrive then to set out cups and plates for them to enjoy tea/coffee and biscuits. If the volunteer wishes they can assist with the organisation of a quiz and calling out in card bingo. Also if the volunteer has revenant experience they may wish to help the committee with the organisation and finance.

To arrange activities and social contact between the visually impaired in the East Kilbride.

Restrictions

Volunteers must be 18yrs or over.
Experience required: To be friendly, helpful and watchful of the elderly poor sighted members.
Travel details: Calderwood Community Hall, Blackbraes Road, off Maxwelton Road, East Kilbride, G74 3JY
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses details: NO expenses are reimbursed.
Training details: Induction training and support will be provided to volunteer. Volunteer will mainly observe what other established volunteers do.
