Panel Practice Advisor (PPA)

Description

PPAs observe panel members in children's hearings and give constructive feedback on their practice. They contribute to the planning of learning & development for panel members. They are involved in the annual recruitment and reappointment of panel members. They also investigate any complaints about panel members and attend various meetings.

Restrictions

Some categories of workers within local authority area, e.g. social work - possible conflict of interest.
Experience required: Preferably experience of mentoring, giving feedback, awareness of learning and development, recruitment.
Travel details: Hearing centres in Paisley and Barrhead, plus meetings in various locations in East Renfrewshire.
Minimum age: 18

Expenses details: Mileage (45p/mile) or public transport costs, plus any other expenses incurred. Claimed online and reimbursed by bank transfer.
