Description

Dundee Community Transport has been dedicated to improving community transport services in Dundee since 2005. After successfully providing a community minibus service, DCT now delivers a door to door community transport service called Community Cars.

Community Cars is proving to be a necessary transport provision for the over 65 community in Dundee and we are looking to invite more people to join our management committee and help shape the development of this very exciting project. We are looking for people with a range of skills including; marketing, fundraising, and business development, as well as people looking to build upon current skills that people think could benefit DCT.

Organisation aims and objectives

Dundee Community Transport runs a community car scheme where volunteer drivers use their own car to give lifts to people over 65 so that they can access social, recreational and medical appointments.

Experience required: We are especially interested in those with experience in the following areas: Business Development, sustainability, fundraising and accounting. However, we will consider candidates with other interests who are looking to build upon their experience.
Travel details: Meetings usually take place in Dundee City Centre

Expenses details: Travel to and from meetings will be reimbursed where the cheapest route possible is taken
Training details: You will be supported directly by your peers and the project coordinator and will have the opportunity to shadow the various office positions.
